A rendező erdélyi magyar kisebbségi háttérből indulva keres „menyasszonyt” fajtatiszta magyar kuvaszának, miközben egyre mélyebbre kerül a kutyatenyésztés politikával átszőtt világában.
A nacionalizmustól a regionalizmuson át a liberalizmusig különböző eszmékben próbál kapaszkodót találni, de végül minden ideológiában csalódik — miközben nem adja fel a reményt egy emberibb élet lehetőségében.
