ในระยะนี้ ไทยตอนบนเตรียมรับมือพายุฤดูร้อน ติดตามใน ฝนฟ้าอากาศ กับคุณบี กมลาสน์ในระยะนี้ กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา เตือนไทยตอนบนระวังพายุฤดูร้อน ระหว่างวันที่ 16-20 เมษายน โดยจะมีลักษณะของพายุฝนฟ้าคะนอง ลมกระโชกแรง และลูกเห็บตกบางแห่ง รวมถึงอาจมีฟ้าผ่าเกิดขึ้นได้บางพื้นที่ โดยจะเริ่มจากภาคอีสานก่อน จากนั้นภาคตะวันออก, ด้านตะวันออกของภาคกลาง และภาคเหนือตอนล่าง สาเหตุเกิดจากมวลอากาศเย็นจากจีนแผ่ปกคลุมทะเลจีนใต้ ส่งผลให้ลมใต้และลมตะวันออกเฉียงใต้มีกำลังแรงขึ้น แล้วเคลื่อนตัวปะทะกับอากาศร้อนจัดของไทย
สภาพอากาศแต่ละภาค
ภาคเหนือ อากาศร้อนถึงร้อนจัด อุณหภูมิสูงสุด 37-42 องศาเซลเซียส
ภาคอีสาน อากาศร้อนถึงร้อนจัด มีฝนตกแถว ๆ ทางตอนล่างของภาค อุณหภูมิสูงสุด 40-42 องศาเซลเซียส
ภาคกลาง อากาศร้อนถึงร้อนจัด อุณหภูมิสูงสุด 39-42 องศาเซลเซียส
ภาคตะวันออก อากาศร้อนจัดบางพื้นที่ มีฝนตกส่วนใหญ่ทางตอนล่างของภาค อุณหภูมิสูงสุด 34-40 องศาเซลเซียส บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงกว่า 1 เมตร
ภาคใต้ อากาศร้อนในตอนกลางวัน ฝนตก 20-30% ของพื้นที่ บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงกว่า 1 เมตร
กรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล อากาศร้อนถึงร้อนจัด อุณหภูมิสูงสุด 36-41 องศาเซลเซียส
