Jokowi Nyalakan Listrik Perbatasan Papua Nugini Mulai Hari Ini
Presiden Jokowi menjamu Perdana Menteri Papua Nugini, James Marape beserta jajaran Menterinya, di Istana Kepresidenan Bogor, Jawa Barat, pada Senin pagi.Kedua negara sepakat menandatangani empat nota kesepahaman untuk mempererat kerja sama bilateral.
Dalam pertemuan ini Jokowi juga mengatakan bahwa Indonesia terus berkomitmen mendukung pembangunan Papua Nugini, salah satunya dengan menyalurkan listrik di Wutung, perbatasan Papua Nugini dan Papua.
Jokowi pun memastikan bahwa pasokan listrik tersebut menyala mulai hari ini.
Sementara, Perdana Menteri Papua Nugini, James Marape, berterima kasih kepada Jokowi soal bantuan pembangunan jaringan listrik di perbatasan Skouw – Wutung.
Marape juga menambahkan, kunjungannya ke Indonesia kali ini sebagai penghormatan kepada Jokowi yang akan mengakhiri jabatan pada 20 Oktober mendatang.
Ia menilai Jokowi memiliki komitmen tinggi terhadap kerja sama Papua Nugini dan Asia Pasifik.
