October jobs report canceled, September data finally coming out on Thursday
The Labor Department said it will not be releasing a full jobs report for October due to the federal government shutdown.In a press release, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said it was unable to conduct its monthly survey of households in October.
The BLS said the October data will be included with the November jobs report, which is scheduled to be released December 16.
Meanwhile, September's job numbers will be released on Thursday, over a month and a half late.
