Pegi dikabarkan tengah menjalani tes DNA untuk memastikan bahwa ia anak biologis ayahnya, Cecep.
Bukan anak dari Bupati Cirebon.
Mengutip TribunCirebon pada Rabu (10/7/2024), Ketua RT 02 Desa Gadog, Dewi mengatakan Pegi melakukan tes DNA di rumah sakit swasta di Jakarta.
Pembiayaan tes ditangani oleh mantan Bupati Purwakarta Dedi Mulyadi.
Tes DNA dilakukan Pegi untuk memastikan bahwa Pegi Cianjur tidak ada kaitanya dengan kasus pembunuhan Vina dan Eky di Cirebon pada 2016 lalu.
Menurutnya, hasil tes DNA yang sudah dijalani Pegi tersebut akan keluar pada Senin (15/7/2024).
Namun berdasarkan dokumen Kartu Keluarga (KK) milik Cecep Setiawan, Pegi lahir di Cianjur pada 19 September 1997, dan ibunya bernama Elis Mulyati.
Menurut Desi sebelum nama Pegi ramai menjadi perbicangan masyarakat di media sosial, Pegi bekerja sebagai Ojeg malam di Desa Gadog.
Sedangkan keseharian orangtua Pegi yaitu bekerja sebagai kuli bangunan.(*)
