Himanta Biswa Sarma | UCC In Assamदेश के कई राज्यों में UCC यानि समान नागरिक संहिता लागू किया जा चुका है.. तो कई राज्यों में पाइपलाइन में है.. इसी में एक और नाम जुड़ गया है असम का.. असम में भी समान नागरिक संहिता को लागू किया जाएगा.. इसके लिए हिमंता बिस्वा सरमा ने डेडलाइन भी तय कर दी है.. हिमंता कैबिनेट की पहली बैठक में UCC लागू करने का फैसला लिया गया.. इसके लिए 25 मई को असम विधानसभा का सत्र बुलाया गया है.. और 26 मई को UCC बिल को पेश किया जाएगा.. आपको बता दें कि बीजेपी ने असम चुनाव में UCC लागू करने का वादा किया था.. जिसे CM हिमंता ने पहली कैबिनेट ही पूरा कर दिया.. शपथ ग्रहण से पहले हिमंता ने इसका हिंट भी दे दिया था.. उन्होंने लिखा था 2021 से 2016 तक ट्रेलर है.. 2026 से 2031 तक पूरी पिक्चर .. हिमंता कैबिनेट ने UCC बिल के जिस ड्राफ्ट को मंजूरी दे दी...उसके मुताबिक शादी...तलाक... लिव इन रिलेशनशिप और तलाक के नियम सबके लिए एक जैसे होंगे....शादी का रजिस्ट्रेशन कराना जरूरी होगा....इस कानून से असम की आदिवासी और जनजातियों को बाहर रखा गया है....हिमंता ने कहा कि असम में लागू होने वाला UCC गुजरात, उत्तराखंड और गोवा के मॉडल जैसा होगा... लेकिन असम के आदिवासी और जनजातीय समाज की परंपराएं अलग हैं....इसलिए उन्हें इस कानून से अलग रखा गया है....
The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has already been implemented in several states across the country, while in many others, it remains in the pipeline. Assam has now joined this list; the Uniform Civil Code is set to be implemented in Assam as well. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has even set a deadline for this initiative. The decision to implement the UCC was taken during the very first meeting of the Himanta Cabinet. To this end, a session of the Assam Legislative Assembly has been convened for May 25, and the UCC Bill is scheduled to be tabled on May 26. It is worth noting that the BJP had pledged to implement the UCC during the Assam elections—a promise that CM Himanta has fulfilled right in his inaugural cabinet meeting. Himanta had even dropped a hint regarding this prior to his swearing-in ceremony; he had written, "The period from 2021 to 2026 is merely the trailer; the full feature film will unfold from 2026 to 2031." According to the draft of the UCC Bill approved by the Himanta Cabinet, the rules governing marriage, divorce, and live-in relationships will be uniform for all citizens. Furthermore, the registration of marriages will be made mandatory. However, Assam's indigenous and tribal communities have been exempted from the purview of this legislation. Himanta stated that the UCC to be implemented in Assam would be modeled after those in Gujarat, Uttarakhand, and Goa; yet, recognizing that the traditions of Assam's indigenous and tribal societies are distinct, they have been kept outside the scope of this law.
