Via libera dall'Ue alle nozze ITA - Lufthansa
ROMA (ITALPRESS) - La Commissione europea ha approvato il progetto di acquisizione del controllo congiunto di ITA Airways da parte di Lufthansa e del ministero italiano dell'Economia e delle finanze. Si tratta di un via libera subordinato al pieno rispetto delle misure correttive offerte da Lufthansa e dal MEF. Per rispondere alle preoccupazioni della Commissione sulla concorrenza, la compagnia aerea tedesca e il Ministero avevano infatti presentato un pacchetto di misure, tra cui l'impegno per le rotte a corto raggio, mettendo a disposizione di una o due compagnie aeree concorrenti le risorse necessarie per iniziare a operare voli diretti tra Roma o Milano e alcuni aeroporti dell'Europa centrale. Lufthansa e il MEF garantiranno inoltre che una di queste compagnie aeree concorrenti abbia accesso alla rete nazionale di ITA per offrire collegamenti indiretti tra alcuni aeroporti dell'Europa centrale e alcune città italiane diverse da Roma e Milano. La società che nascerà dalla concentrazione concluderà anche accordi con i concorrenti per migliorare la loro competitività sulle rotte a lungo raggio. Ciò comporterà - sottolinea la commissione - un aumento delle frequenze dei voli diretti e migliori collegamenti per i voli con uno scalo su ciascuna rotta.
