Peristiwa 3 Juli 1946: Upaya Kudeta Pertama Dalam Sejarah Indonesia
TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM- Pasca proklamasi kemerdekaan, Indonesia mengalami krisis politik salah satunya akibat kembalinya Belanda yang membuat pejuang Indonesia saling sikut hingga tercipta kelompok oposisi.Kala itu, para politisi dan pejuang Indonesia terpecah ke dalam dua kubu.
Kubu pertama mendukung langkah diplomasi dengan Belanda, seperti Presiden Soekarno, Wakil Presiden Mohammad Hatta, Perdana Menteri Sutan Sjahrir, dan Menteri Pertahanan Amir Syarifuddin.
Sedangkan kelompok oposisi, yang memilih untuk mempertahankan kemerdekaan secara militer, terdiri dari Tan Malaka, Achmad Soebardjo, Sukarni, Iwa Kusuma Sumantri, dan Chaerul Saleh.
Kisruh antara dua kubu meruncing pada pertengahan 1946, yang menimbulkan meletusnya Peristiwa 3 Juli 1946.
Peristiwa 3 Juli 1946 adalah upaya kudeta pertama di Indonesia yang dilakukan oleh kalangan republik sendiri, tepatnya oleh kelompok Persatuan Perjuangan.
Upaya kudeta Persatuan Perjuangan dilatarbelakangi oleh ketidakpuasan atas kepemimpinan Perdana Menteri Sutan Sjahrir yang dinilai terlalu senang berdiplomasi.
Ketegangan tersebut kemudian berakhir pada upaya kudeta oleh kelompok Persatuan Perjuangan dengan menculik anggota-anggota Kabinet Sjahrir.
14 orang yang diduga terlibat dalam upaya kudeta kemudian diajukan ke depan Mahkamah Tentara Agung.
Tujuh terdakwa kemudian dibebaskan dari tuntutan.
Selain Sudarsono, Mr Muhammad Yamin juga dinyatakan bersalah atas upaya kudeta itu.
Keduanya kemudian dijatuhi hukuman selama empat tahun penjara.
Sementara itu, lima terdakwa lainnya dihukum 2 sampai 3 tahun.
Namun mereka semuanya akhirnya dibebaskan dengan grasi Presiden Soekarno pada 17 Agustus 1948.
