È stata una notte di paura e di intense ricerche a Lastra a Signa (Firenze) dove martedì 28 luglio una donna di 80 anni si era allontanata da casa senza farvi ritorno. Le ricerche, terminate intorno alle 2 di notte, hanno permesso di individuare la signora grazie a degli aeromobili a pilotaggio remoto in forza al Nucleo SAPR dei vigili del fuoco: in pratica dei moderni droni dotati di termocamera. In un video diramato dai vigili del fuoco si vedono le fasi salienti dell'operazione. Una volta trovata la persona, che stava dormendo in una vigna, sono state comunicate le coordinate ai carabinieri e ai vigili del fuoco di San Casciano Val di Pesa, che operavano a terra, e in poco tempo la donna è stata soccorsa, adagiata su una barella e trasferita al pronto soccorso.
