Dalam Waktu 5 Jam, Tim Tanggap Darurat PTFI Berhasil Temukan 2 Jenazah Pekerja Tambang Freeport

Akibatnya, tujuh pekerja tambang dilaporkan terjebak di lokasi kejadian.
PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) menyampaikan perkembangan terbaru terkait insiden luncuran material basah yang terjadi di area Tambang Bawah Tanah Grasberg Block Cave (GBC).
Setelah melewati medan dan risiko keselamatan yang tinggi, Tim Tanggap Darurat PTFI berhasil menemukan dan mengevakuasi tiga jenazah rekan kerja pada Minggu, 5 Oktober 2025.
Ketiga pekerja tersebut ditemukan dalam rentang waktu berbeda. Satu jenazah ditemukan sekitar pukul 12.00 WIT, sementara dua lainnya ditemukan pada pukul 16.53 WIT.
Proses identifikasi dilakukan secara hati-hati oleh Tim Medis dan Tim Kepolisian dengan penuh penghormatan terhadap para korban.
Identifikasi awal mengonfirmasi bahwa jenazah yang ditemukan pada pukul 12.00 WIT adalah Victor Bastida Ballesteros, warga negara Republik Chili dan karyawan PT Redpath Indonesia.
Sementara dua jenazah lainnya masih dalam proses identifikasi oleh pihak berwenang.
PT Freeport Indonesia berkomitmen memberikan pendampingan penuh kepada keluarga korban serta mendukung sepenuhnya proses identifikasi dan penanganan pasca-insiden.
