Once años atrás decidimos dejar la ciudad y empezar nuestro proyecto: un espacio donde producir nuestros propios alimentos, construir nuestra casa con nuestras manos, criar a nuestros hijos en respeto por la naturaleza y compartir todo este aprendizaje con ustedes.
En este video los llevo a recorrer la mini granja en una mañana cualquiera de invierno —hoy, 20 de junio, día de la bandera— mientras les abro a las gallinas y junto los huevos (sí, alguno todavía calentito). Y mientras tanto vamos respondiendo las seis preguntas que, como decía Kipling, nos enseñan todo lo que sabemos: qué, quién, dónde, cuándo, cómo y por qué una mini granja.
Vas a ver qué es realmente una mini granja —un espacio productivo, diverso y biodiverso, que entra desde un departamento hasta media hectárea—, por qué no hace falta irse al campo para empezar (yo hacía compost sin olor en una oficina del microcentro), por qué junio es el mejor momento para diseñar, y cómo se conecta todo: las gallinas, las lombrices, los techos vivos, el estanque, la huerta de invierno y el invernadero.
Porque al final una mini granja no se trata solo de producir. Se trata de moverse cuando estar quieto duele, de reconectar con otras especies, y de preguntarnos cómo queremos que nos encuentre la vida. ¿No?
