مهمان این قسمت کارنکن فرهاد مسعودیه؛ جنگلبانی که مسئول حفاظت از ذخیرهگاه سرخدار ایران شده بود.
اما خیلی زود فهمید بزرگترین چالشش نه درختها، بلکه آدمها هستن؛ آدمهایی که خیلیهاشون فامیل و همسایههای خودش بودن. فرهاد اونها رو جریمه کرد، هشدار داد و تلاش کرد جلوی قطع درختها رو بگیره، اما نتیجه برعکس شد و درختهای بیشتری قطع شدن.
تا اینکه فهمید مشکل اصلی چیز دیگهایه؛ برای خیلی از اهالی روستا، قطع درخت تنها راه درآمده.
داستان این اپیزود درباره نجات یک جنگل نیست؛ درباره اینه که چطور آدمهایی که روزی سرخدارها رو قطع میکردن، تبدیل به محافظهای همون جنگل شدن.
