Jabatan Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga kini resmi disandang Erick Thohir, yang menggantikan Dito Ariotedjo.Meski lekat dengan dunia olahraga, penunjukan Erick sebagai Menpora jadi polemik. Karena Erick juga menjabat Ketua PSSI.
Erick tegaskan bakal menanti keputusan FIFA, soal jabatannya di PSSI.
Soal rangkap jabatan, Erick Thohir pastikan tak akan berpihak pada satu cabang olahraga, dan berjanji akan mengayomi seluruh cabor.
Wakil Ketua Komisi Sepuluh DPR RI, Lalu Hadrian Irfani, bilang tak masalah jika Erick Thohir mampu menjalankan kedua jabatan secara seimbang.
Tapi jika Erick terlihat menganakemaskan salah satu cabor, Komisi X akan bertindak.
Erick Thohir tentu kini harus segera fokus, karena dihadapkan pada tugas-tugas yang tak mudah.
Ia dituntut meningkatkan prestasi olahraga Indonesia di kancah internasional, sekaligus mewujudkan mimpi pecinta sepak bola Tanah Air, melihat Timnas Garuda mentas di Piala Dunia.
