China predice 2.360 millones de viajes de pasajeros durante Fiesta de Medio Otoño y Día Nacional

Entre el 1 y el 8 de octubre, China celebrará la Fiesta de Medio Otoño y el Día Nacional. El Ministerio de Transporte del país prevé cerca de 2.360 millones de viajes de pasajeros a nivel nacional durante los ocho días de vacaciones.
"El principal modo de transporte sigue siendo el vehículo privado. Se espera que el número de viajes con vehículo privado durante la Fiesta de Medio Otoño y el Día Nacional de este año alcance los 1.870 millones, es decir, el 80 % del total del volumen de viajes", dijo Li Yang, viceministro de Transporte de China.
Li Yang subrayó que el inicio y el final de las vacaciones concentrarán el flujo de pasajeros, cuyo pico se producirá el 1 de octubre. Se espera que destinos populares como Guangzhou, Chengdu y Xi'an reciban más turistas que el año pasado. El número de viajes a países como Rusia, Japón y la República de Corea también aumentará. Las autoridades chinas prevén más de 18 millones de viajes al día de promedio en los ferrocarriles nacionales.
