Solo un forte e unito potenziale dell’Europa, in alleanza con l’America e con gli altri partner del nostro continente, può costituire una difesa affidabile. Prevediamo anche una settimana intensa per la nostra diplomazia in occasione dell’Assemblea Generale delle Nazioni Unite. È importante che questa settimana dia nuovo slancio all’azione diplomatica. Ora, a una settimana dall’Assemblea Generale, il presidente Trump sarà in Europa. Prosegue il nostro intenso lavoro con i leader dei Paesi europei, affinché tutti siamo coordinati e possiamo davvero giungere a decisioni per aumentare la pressione sulla Russia. Decisioni che, in ogni caso, dovranno essere prese. Se non vi è una risposta realmente incisiva da parte della comunità internazionale per porre fine alla guerra della Russia, se sanzioni e dazi vengono rinviati, se l’esercito russo lancia impunemente droni persino contro la Polonia, allora Putin continuerà a interpretare tutto ciò come un permesso a proseguire la guerra. Voglio ringraziare i partner che mantengono posizioni forti, che reagiscono e non restano in attesa. È necessario agire" così il Presidente dell'Ucraina Zelensky.
