Sebanyak 40 proyektil ditembakkan Hizbullah ke Israel dalam serangan tersebut.
Akibat serangan itu dua warga Israel tewas karena roket yang diluncurkan menghantam kendaraan yang mereka tumpangi hingga terbakar.
Mobil tersebut tidak bisa diselamatkan termasukan kedua warga Israel yang ada didalamnya.
Sebelumnya pasangan itu melewati Persimpangan Nafah di Route 91.
Kematian mereka membuat jumlah warga sipil yang terbunuh di Israel di tengah bentrokan selama berbulan-bulan dengan Hizbullah menjadi 12 orang.
Hizbullah mengklaim telah menargetkan pangkalan militer Nafah IDF, yang terletak tepat di selatan komunitas Ortal, mengutip Times Of Israel.
Hizbullah yang didukung Iran mengatakan serangan itu merupakan respons terhadap kematian agennya Yasser Qarnabash di Suriah pada hari sebelumnya.
Hizbullah mengkonfirmasi kematian Qarnabash menyusul pemberitaan di media Arab namun tidak merinci peran atau jabatannya.
Qarnabash dikatakan tewas dalam serangan terhadap kendaraan Hizbullah di dekat pos pemeriksaan tentara Suriah di jalan raya Damaskus-Beirut.
Serangan tersebut dikaitkan dengan Israel oleh media pemerintah Suriah, meskipun IDF tidak mengomentari serangan itu lebih lanjut.
