La mattina del 4 gennaio quattro attiviste del collettivo antispecista «No Food No Science» sono tornate a protestare a Palazzo Te, a Mantova, a meno di un anno da una precedente azione. L’iniziativa prende di mira Levoni, storico salumificio mantovano e socio fondatore della Fondazione Palazzo Te, che gestisce il museo dal 2023 dopo il passaggio di gestione dal Comune alla Fondazione, composta da enti pubblici e aziende private.Questa volta la protesta si è svolta nella Sala dei Giganti di Giulio Romano: le attiviste hanno esposto due striscioni con la scritta «Levoni fuori dalla cultura», cosparso il pavimento di farina come simbolo dell’impronta umana sul pianeta e lanciato finte banconote per denunciare, secondo loro, il controllo economico della cultura da parte di interessi privati legati alla zootecnia. L’azione segue quella dello scorso anno, quando un’opera di Picasso era stata cosparsa di letame. Il collettivo denuncia da tempo Levoni, prendendo di mira l’azienda durante eventi cittadini come Food&Science e Festivaletteratura, e in una protesta precedente a Palazzo Te realizzata con Ribellione Animale.
