Delegasi Hamas dipimpin oleh anggota biro politik bernama Khalil al-Hayya.
Stasiun televisi Lebanon, al-Manar melaporkan bahwa para kelompok penentang Israel itu membahas situasi politik terkini dan keamanan di Gaza.
Dalam pertemuan, kedanya menekankan perlunya koordinasi lanjutan antara Hizbullah dan Hamas dalam upaya mengakhiri agresi militer Israel.
Sebagaimana diketahui upaya gencatan senjata lewat negosiasi telah terhenti lama.
Pasalnya, baik Israel atau Hamas tak menemui titik temu untuk mencapai kesepakatan.
Namun, baru-baru ini perundingan gencatan senjata antara Israel dan Hamas dimulai kembali.
Pada hari Rabu (3/7/2024), Hamas mengatakan pihaknya kembali berkomunikasi dengan pejabat dari Qatar, Mesir dan Turki dengan tujuan mencapai kesepakatan.
Hal tersebut dikonfirmasi oleh kantor Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu dan dinas intelijen Mossad.
Mereka mengatakan akan mengevaluasi proposal gencatan senjata yang diajukan Hamas.
