Ia mencontohkan saat konflik Rusia dan Ukraina pecah, sikap Indonesia adalah agar segera dilakukan gencatan senjata.
"Jadi kami akan selalu mengusulkan solusi damai," ujar Prabowo dalam sesi panel diskusi St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025, Jumat (20/6/2025).
Prabowo juga mencontohkan situasi di Semenanjung Korea sebagai model gencatan senjata yang efektif menjaga stabilitas, meskipun konflik secara resmi belum selesai.
"Perang Korea belum berakhir secara resmi, namun ada kondisi damai yang tercipta," imbuhnya.
Oleh karena itu, harapan untuk tercipta perdamaian sebenarnya masih ada untuk Rusia-Ukraina.
"Jadi itulah yang kami usulkan, seperti menyelamatkan orang-orang Ukraina di semua sisi, orang-orang di wilayah berbahasa Rusia, hanya untuk menyelamatkan mereka dari pemisahan diri," kata Prabowo.
Prabowo menyebut, Indonesia tetap mengusulkan solusi damai meski jauh dari area perang.
