Sinopsis: Jack y Rose, su hija de dieciséis años, viven completamente aislados. Son los únicos supervivientes de una comuna situada en una isla. Desde la desintegración de la comuna, Jack ha procurado proteger a su hija de las influencias del mundo exterior. El conflicto entre ambos comienza cuando Jack contrae una grave enfermedad y, al mismo tiempo, se produce el despertar sexual de Rose.
