Samsung Cuts US Jobs as Headquarters Moves to Texas | Firstpost Live
Samsung Electronics has cut jobs across its US display, mobile phone and consumer electronics businesses, mainly affecting workers in New Jersey and Texas. The company said 739 roles in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, were impacted as Samsung Electronics America relocates its consumer electronics headquarters to Texas. Most affected employees have been offered relocation, while others have been laid off. Around 100 additional jobs, including positions in the mobile division at Samsung's Plano, Texas office, have also been cut, according to a source familiar with the matter.
