እስራኤል ለሕክምና ወደ ጋዛ እንዲመለሱ ከለቀቀቻቸው በርካታ ፍርስጤማውያን እስረኞች መካከል የጋዛ ዋና ሆስፒታል ኃላፊ እንደሚገኙበት ተገለጸ።ከሕዳር ወር ጀምሮ እስር ላይ የነበሩት መሐመድ አቡ ሰልሚያ ጋዛ የሚገኘው ሺፋ ሆስፒታል ኃላፊ የነበሩ ሲሆን፣ እስራኤል ሐማስ ሆስፒታሉን እንደማዛዣ ማዕከል እየተጠቀመበት ነው በማለት በተመሳሳይ ወር ሆስፒታሉ ላይ ወረራ አካሂዳ ነበር።

የእስራኤል የቀኝ አክራሪ ብሔራዊ ደህንነት ሚኒስትር ኢታማር ቤን ጊቪር የአቡ ሴልሚያን መለቀቅ ተችተው በኤክስ ገፃቸው ላይ ባሰፈሩት መልዕክት "ደህንነትን አሳልፎ መስጠት ነው" ብለዋል።

ከጋዛ በተጨማሪ እስራኤል በደቡባዊ ሊባኖስ በርካታ መንደሮች ውስጥ የሚገኙ የሂዝቦላህ ታጣቂዎችን ዒላማ ያደረገ የአየር ጥቃትም አካሂዳለች። እስራኤል በሂዝቦላህ ላይ የከፈተችው መጠነ ሰፊ የጥቃት ዘመቻ ግጭቱን በቀጠናው ሊያስፋፋ ይችላል የሚል ስጋት የገባቸው ዩናይትድ ስቴትስ እና ሌሎች ሀገራት፣ ጦርነቱ ተባብሶ እንዳይቀጥል አስጠንቅቀዋል።
