DEUTSCHLAND: "15,5 Milliarden würden wegfallen!“ – PKV-Chef warnt vor Folgen fürs GesundheitssystemWarum warten gesetzlich Versicherte oft länger auf Arzttermine? Florian Reuter, Direktor des PKV-Verbandes, widerspricht der These, dass Privatpatienten die Praxen „verstopfen“. Rund 10 Prozent der Bevölkerung seien privat versichert, 90 Prozent gesetzlich – das eigentliche Problem liege aus seiner Sicht deshalb im System der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung.
Reuter nennt mehrere mögliche Stellschrauben: weniger Arztbesuche, eine Reform der Quartalsvergütung, mehr Steuerung über ein Primärarztsystem und mehr Wahlmöglichkeiten für Versicherte.
Zugleich verweist er auf die finanzielle Bedeutung der privaten Krankenversicherung: Laut PKV-Verband entstehe durch sie ein zusätzlicher Umsatz von mehr als 15,5 Milliarden Euro, davon über 8 Milliarden Euro im ambulanten Bereich.
