DECIMOMANNU (CAGLIARI) (ITALPRESS) - "Oggi in questo luogo c'è qualcosa di straordinario e unico che non si trova da altre parti. Leonardo sviluppa il miglior aereo addestratore del mondo. Lo fa così bene che costa un po' troppo, ma diventa il benchmark degli addestratori, tant'è che Singapore e Israele scelgono quell'addestratore per le loro Aeronautiche. Ma è fatto talmente bene che ha un costo elevato rispetto ad alcuni concorrenti. Il problema si risolve decidendo di condividere attraverso una scuola di formazione quell'addestratore. E nasce l'IFTS, mettendo insieme l'esperienza dell'Aeronautica Militare e dell'ingegneria italiana, e creando una cosa unica, cioè una scuola in cui vengono formati piloti da diverse nazioni, in cui le esperienze di diverse nazioni, di diversi piloti e addestratori si fondono, mettendo in piedi una capacità che porta ricchezza a una regione, ad alcune città, ad alcuni comuni, e aiuta a mettere insieme le capacità industriali, tecnologiche e militari di nazioni amiche". Lo afferma il ministro della Difesa, Guido Crosetto, alla base aerea di Decimomannu, nel corso della cerimonia di consegna delle Aquile di pilota militare.Un'esperienza "che può crescere esponenzialmente, che crescerà, perché questa cosa noi la vogliamo ripetere sugli F-35 in Sicilia - aggiunge il ministro -. diventando il primo luogo extra Stati Uniti dove saranno formati i piloti degli F-35, così come siamo l'unico Paese al mondo dove vengono assemblati gli F-35, a Cameri".
