時はまさに終末。少女たちの願いを乗せた電車のいく先は――？
『終末トレインどこへいく？』は、『SHIROBAKO』『ガールズ&パンツァー』を始めする数々の人気作品を手掛けてきた水島努監督による最新オリジナルアニメーション。シリーズ構成は、『SHIROBAKO』『監獄学園』など多くの水島作品でタッグを組んできた横手美智子が務める。
一筋縄ではいかない題材をこれまで描いてきた水島＆横手が今回挑むのは「終末世界×電車×友情」。
異色の掛け算で展開される、まだ誰も見たことのないアニメーションが動き出す。
【INTORODUCTION】
郊外のとある町。
ここはどこにでもある、ごくごくありふれた田舎……ではなかった。
住民たちに大きな異変が起きているのだ。
だけどそんな中でも千倉静留には、強い思いがあった。
行方がわからない友達に、もう一度会いたい！
静留たちは放置されて動かなくなっていた電車で、
生きて帰ってこられるかどうかもわからない外の世界へと出ていく。
走り出した終末トレインの終点には、いったい何がある？
