(LaPresse) – Prima della funzione hanno reso omaggio al fondatore di Exodus, morto venerdì a 96 anni, don Luigi Ciotti, Beppe Marotta, Giorgio Gori e Lele Mora. «E' stato come un secondo padre», ha detto Mora. «Dio non abita solo nei tabernacoli d’oro, ma dobbiamo cercarlo nelle strade dove la gente lotta per sopravvivere», ha aggiunto il fondatore di Libera. Marotta, amministratore delegato dell’Inter, ha ricordato «una persona molto umile, che ha interpretato il vero valore cristiano del perdono». Una lunga fila si è formata all’esterno della basilica fin dalle prime ore del pomeriggio, con le corone della Curva Sud Milano e dei Pooh sul sagrato e molti ragazzi in maglietta con le frasi del sacerdote. Al termine della cerimonia la salma sarà tumulata in forma privata nel cimitero dell’Opera don Calabria, all’interno dell’abbazia di Maguzzano, sulla sponda bresciana del Garda.
