Il fondatore del Movimento Indipendenza, contesta l’interpretazione politica e lo definisce un elemento religioso: "La mia celtica l’ho fatta benedire sul Santo Sepolcro a Gerusalemme".Il confronto si sposta quindi sul rapporto tra destra e fascismo. L’ex ministro condanna le leggi razziali e sostiene che posizioni su immigrazione, identità e sovranità nazionale vengano impropriamente ricondotte al fascismo, pur rappresentando temi propri dell'area conservatrice.
