KPU RI Tunjuk Afifuddin Jadi Plt Ketua KPU Gantikan Hasyim
KOMPAS.TV - Pasca-dipecatnya Hasyim Asy'ari dari jabatan ketua KPU, karena skandal dugaaan tindak asusila, Komisi Pemilihan Umum menunjuk Mochammad Afifuddin sebagai pelaksana tugas ketua KPU.Sementara DPR, telah memiliki nama calon pengganti Hasyim, yakni calon anggota KPU urutan peringkat delapan, Iffa Rosita.
Sebelumnya DKPP dua kali menerima pengaduan pelanggaran kode etik yaitu perbuatan asusila mantan Ketua KPU Hasyim Asy'ari.
Pengaduan pertama dari Ketua Partai Republik I Hasnaeni Moein, yang membuat pengaduan pada 22 Desember 2022.
Atas pengaduan tersebut, DKPP menjatuhkan sanksi peringatan keras terhadap Hasyim.
Laporan kedua pada 18 April 2024 oleh lembaga bantuan Hukum FH UI yang mewakili seorang anggota panitia pemungutan luar negeri.
Setelah melewati persidangan yang berlangsung secara tertutup, DKPP memutuskan pemberhentian tetap Hasyim Asy'ari dari jabatan sebagai ketua merangkap anggota KPU RI.
