Polri dan Praktisi Keselamatan Berkendara Blak-blakan Soal Sanksi Penyalahgunaan Strobo di Jalan
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Masyarakat ramai-ramai menyuarakan gerakan "Stop Tot Tot Wuk Wuk" di media sosial.Warga protes sebab banyak penggunaan sirene dan lampu strobo tak sesuai aturan.
Seperti digunakan kendaraan sipil hanya demi dapat prioritas membelah kemacetan.
Merespons protes masyarakat, Kepala Korps Lalu Lintas Polri Irjen Agus Suryonugroho membekukan penggunaan strobo dan sirene yang mengganggu pengguna jalan.
Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2009 tentang Lalu Lintas dan Angkutan Jalan mengatur tujuh kendaraan yang berhak mendapat prioritas di jalan raya.
Di antaranya ambulans mengangkut orang sakit, pemadam kebakaran, kendaraan untuk pertolongan pada kecelakaan lalu lintas, pimpinan lembaga negara, dan kendaraan pimpinan serta pejabat negara asing.
Jika ditemukan penyalahgunaan, negara diminta tegas bertindak demi keadilan pengendara di jalan.
Jenderal Agus Subiyanto, Panglima TNI, ikut merespons soal ramainya keluhan masyarakat soal penggunaan strobo dan sirene di jalan raya.
Panglima bilang strobo dan sirene digunakan harus sesuai aturan, termasuk kedaruratan.
