"We are often taught that every ending comes with closure. We wait for the apology, the explanation, or the moment when everything finally makes sense. But what if closure is not something we find? What if it is simply a story we tell ourselves to make uncertainty easier to bear? In this talk, I explore why we feel such a strong need for closure and how that desire shapes the way we process heartbreak, loss, change, and unanswered questions. Drawing from psychology, personal reflection, and everyday experiences, I challenge the belief that healing depends on receiving the ending we think we deserve. Instead of searching for perfect resolutions, I invite the audience to consider a different perspective. Perhaps growth begins when we stop waiting for someone else to give us peace and start creating it ourselves. Some questions remain unanswered, some relationships end without explanation, and some chapters close without feeling complete. Yet life continues, and so do we. This talk isn’t about giving up on hope. It’s about redefining what moving forward looks like and recognizing that acceptance is often more powerful than certainty. Sometimes, the freedom we are looking for comes not from finding closure, but from realizing we never truly needed it." Sukriti Jain is someone whose curiosity often leads her down unexpected paths. Whether she is exploring psychology, leading community initiatives, volunteering, or writing, she is always searching for a deeper understanding of people and the experiences that shape them.
