Insiden pengeroyokan itu terjadi saat Tim Gakkum Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup melakukan penyegelan PT Genesis Regeneration Smelting yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Jawilan, Kabupaten Serang pada Kamis (21/8/2025).
Dalam kegiatan itu, ada sekitar delapan wartawan memenuhi undangan peliputan.
Namun seusai penyegelan terjadi keributan hingga adanya insiden pengeroyokan di area depan pabrik.
