JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Mengenai kebakaran hebat melanda permukiman padat penduduk di Kelurahan Kramat Sentiong, Kecamatan Senen, Jakarta Pusat.Delapan bangunan semi permanen hangus dilalap api. Belum diketahui pasti penyebab kebakaran tersebut.
Banyaknya material bangunan yang mudah terbakar membuat api cepat membesar dan merembet ke bagian lainnya.
Api pertama kali diduga muncul dari salah satu rumah kontrakan. Petugas pemadam kebakaran sempat kesulitan memadamkan api karena lokasi yang sempit dan sumber air yang jauh.
Setelah menerjunkan 17 unit mobil dan 85 personel, api baru bisa dipadamkan satu jam kemudian. Tidak korban jiwa dalam kejadian ini.
