Mualem mengatakan bahwa Pemprov Aceh memiliki sejumlah bukti kuat untuk mendukung kepemilikan tersebut.
Ditemui di Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Kamis (12/6), Mualem berujar bahwa empat pulau tersebut memiliki kaitan sejarah yang erat dengan Aceh.
Menurut Mualem, hal tersebut jadi alasan yang kuat empat pulau tersebut milik Aceh.
Adapun Mualem sendiri sudah bertemu dengan Gubernur Sumut Bobby Nasution untuk membahas
Untuk diketahui, pemerintah pusat telah menetapkan empat pulau masuk ke wilayah Sumut berdasarkan Kepmendagri Nomor 300/2/2-2138 Tahun 2025.
Empat pulau tersebut yakni Pulau Lipan, Pulau Mangkir Besar, Pulau Mangkir Kecil, dan Pulau Panjang.
Sebelumnya empat pulau tersebut berada dalam kewenangan Pemkab Aceh Singkil, kini masuk ke wilayah Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah.
Menteri Dalam Negeri Tito Karnavian mengatakan bahwa penetapan tersebut melalui proses panjang serta melibatkan banyak instansi.
Menurut Tito, penetapan ini juga sudah disepakati oleh kedua belah pihak.
Dijelaskan oleh Tito bahwa pemerintah pusat memutuskan empat pulau tersebut masuk wilayah administrasi Sumut berdasarkan tarikan batas wilayah darat.
