Le vicende venezuelane ci hanno dimostrato una volta di più quanto sia importante l’energia e le fonti con le quali la produciamo. Nonché una volta di più l’importanza della terra e di quelle terre rare che sono i materiali fondamentali per partecipare alla rivoluzione digitale. Mentre Trump dava il via libera all’arresto-rapimento di Maduro associava l’operazione al petrolio di cui il Venezuela è ricco quanto incapace di estrarlo oltreche a quelle terre nascoste nel sottosuolo del Paese dell’America Latina. Un’attenzione, quindi, rivendicata, alle risorse. Che pone un problema a noi che sia come Italia, ma anche come Europa di risorse non ne abbiamo se non in minima quantità. Purtroppo lo sguardo corto di molta politica tende a ridurre temi che vanno visti sul lungo termine a dibattito quotidiano per ottenere consenso. Sicuramente molti aspetti del Green deal erano sola burocrazia e obiettivi poco legati alla realtà. Ma altrettanto certamente la scelta di orientare la transizione energetica verso emissioni zero e quindi non usando fonti fossili era più che condivisibile per chi come noi per di più di quelle fonti fossili non può disporre. Pragamaticamente si sono modificate molte delle norme inutili e forzate del Green deal. Si pensi solo all’esenzione agli adempimenti burocratici per le aziende agricole sotto i 10 ettari che sono quasi l’80% di quelle totali in Europa . Ma il messaggio di fondo non doveva e non deve cambiare: nel mix di modi di produrre di energia abbiamo bisogno di più fonti rinnovabili non solo per evitare che il riscaldamento globale produca ulteriori cambiamenti climatici, ma anche perché conviene al nostro portafoglio e alla nostra futura indipendenza.
