This is my guide and walkthrough for Ninja Gaiden 2 Black on Master Ninja difficulty played on the XBOX Series X.

NOTE ON VERSION NUMBERS
Chapters 1 through 7 were played on Version 1.0.6.0. The remaining chapters were played on Version 1.0.7.0.

COMMENTARY NOTATIONS
00:13 The crow can indeed be killed. Wind Run into Flying Swallow is probably the best way to kill it, and you're rewarded with blue essence for your trouble.
00:44 There are in fact three dogs in this fight. I left the fight after killing only two of the three dogs.
01:35 The move I refer to is the Flying-Swalllow Izuna Drop with the Level 2 Falconʼs Talons. On Ninja Gaiden 2, that move unlocked at Level 2; on this game, however, it is a Level 1 move with the Falconʼs Talons.
04:37 I meant that the aerial Izuna Drop with the Lunar can be compromised in this type of low-ceilinged room. The ground-based Izuna Drop with the Lunar is unaffected.
05:49 Flying Swallow into Izuna Drop with the Falconʼs Talons via the “prescribed” input is X+A (Wind Run), then Y (Flying Swallow), and then XY (Izuna Drop). The “non-prescribed” input would be pressing A instead of X+A. While the former input suffices, the latter input is technically more accurate and is thus more consistent.
