DEUTSCHLAND: „Kaffee und Kuchen“? Kanzler auf Kuschelkurs! Kooperation in der Koalition | WELT LIVEFriedrich Merz will den rauen Ton in der schwarz-roten Koalition senken. Bei seinem ersten Auftritt vor der SPD-Bundestagsfraktion warb der Kanzler für Ruhe, Vertrauen, Mut und Kompromissbereitschaft. Öffentliche rote Linien lehnte er ab. Merz stellte sich dabei auch vor Arbeitsministerin Bärbel Bas.
Die Koalition steht unter Zeitdruck. Bis zum 30. Juni soll das Reformpaket stehen. Der Koalitionsausschuss gilt als entscheidende Sitzung. Zugleich müssen die Ministerien Sparvorschläge bei Finanzminister Klingbeil abgeben. Im Familienressort steht mehr als eine halbe Milliarde Euro zur Debatte. Gespart werden soll beim Elterngeld. In der SPD sorgt das bereits für Murren.
Wolfgang Kubicki sieht die Lage kritisch. Er verweist auf gegensätzliche Positionen von SPD und Union. Auch die Umfragen belasten Schwarz-Rot. Laut aktueller Forsa-Umfrage erreicht die AfD 28 Prozent. Die Union liegt bei 22 Prozent, die SPD bei 12 Prozent.
