Per la serata sono volati per aria infatti oltre 3000 droni, che hanno proiettato immagini sacre, statue e parole di pace. Dopo le esibizioni di artisti quali Andrea Bocelli, Pharrell Williams, John Legend e Il Volo, lo show dei droni è stato il più suggestivo. Lo ha reso possibile il signor Musk: non Elon, ma il fratello Kimbal, che ha fondato la Nova Sky Stories.
Tra le immagini rappresentate dai droni, è comparso vicino alla Cupola della Basilica di San Pietro anche il volto dello scomparso Papa Francesco.
