[FULL] Langkah Inggris Akui Palestina, Berefek pada Hubungan Politik AS-Inggris dan Timur Tengah?
KOMPAS.TV - Inggris mengambil langkah baru sebagai bentuk pengakuan terhadap negara Palestina. Pemerintah Inggris memperbarui peta dan istilah resmi di situs resminya, “Gov.uk”, untuk merujuk wilayah tersebut.Dalam halaman “Foreign Travel Advice” untuk Palestina, catatan baru menyebutkan bahwa istilah sebelumnya, “Wilayah Palestina yang diduduki”, kini diperbarui menjadi “Palestina”. Sebelumnya, pengakuan Inggris atas Palestina diumumkan oleh Perdana Menteri Inggris, Keir Starmer, pada 21 September lalu.
Pengakuan ini mengikuti lebih dari 150 negara yang telah mengakui Palestina. Dengan langkah Inggris, empat dari lima anggota tetap Dewan Keamanan PBB yang memiliki hak veto—yaitu Tiongkok, Rusia, Inggris, dan Prancis—telah mengakui Palestina. Sementara itu, Amerika Serikat tetap menolak pengakuan, dengan alasan pengakuan tersebut sama dengan memberikan hadiah bagi Hamas.
Mengenai sikap Indonesia, Presiden Prabowo Subianto dalam pidatonya di KTT PBB menegaskan bahwa Indonesia mendukung negara Palestina dan solusi dua negara (two-state solution) untuk perdamaian di wilayah Palestina dan Israel.
Pertanyaannya kini, langkah strategis apa yang bisa dilakukan Indonesia untuk mendorong perdamaian dan stabilitas di Timur Tengah? Bagaimana peran diplomasi Indonesia bisa diperkuat setelah pengakuan Inggris terhadap Palestina?
Untuk membahas hal ini, kita akan berbincang bersama Dian Wirengjurit, mantan Duta Besar RI untuk Iran (2012–2016), dan Prof. Siti Mutiah Setiawati, Guru Besar Geopolitik Timur Tengah Universitas Gadjah Mada.
