Il giornalista autore de "Il Codice #Ratzinger" ha raccontato in varie occasioni di una sospetta "sede impedita" e di un presunto antipapa, che sarebbe proprio #Bergoglio. Questo perché, riassumendo il libro-inchiesta, Ratzinger non avrebbe mai, nelle sue dimissioni avvenute nel 2013, rinunciato al ministerium, l'esercizio del papato. Non avrebbe invece rinunciato al munus petrino, la condizione di papa, indi per cui Benedetto XVI sarebbe rimasto il vero papa almeno fino alla sua morte, avvenuta nel dicembre del 2022.
Cionci nel frattempo ha depositato presso il Tribunale dello Stato della Città del #Vaticano un'istanza "per il riconoscimento della nullità dell’abdicazione di papa Benedetto XVI". Secondo il giornalista c'è un termine fino al quale la spinosa questione può ancora essere sollevata concretamente.
