In "Multi-agent patterns that work in production," Aditi Sharma Goyal, Director, AI Product Management, Srivatsan Sundaravaradan, Staff Product Manager, AI & Data Platforms, and Shashank Sharma, Principal Software Engineer, all at NetApp, used a wedding-planner analogy to show how an orchestrator agent coordinates specialised agents instead of relying on one generalist to do everything, before participants built their own multi-agent panel to turn an idea into a product requirements document and prototype.
Both workshops landed on the same underlying discipline: whether the system is physical or agentic, the harder problem is rarely building it. It is designing precisely what each component should be built to do before scale becomes the constraint.
