The Part of Life We Keep Trying to Escape
For years, I thought maintenance was the price I had to pay for the things I actually enjoyed. Cleaning fountain pens felt like a chore. Watering plants was an interruption. Showing up to work day after day, even when nothing exciting was happening, felt like I was wasting my life waiting for the real thing to begin. But fifteen years into building Safal Niveshak, I've realized something: this is the real thing. The maintenance. The invisible work. The ordinary days when you just show up. That's not a distraction from life...but life itself.
In this episode, I'm thinking out loud about everything we love asking to be looked after, the resentment we carry about it, and what changes when we stop running from this truth.
