Irán ha comunicado al jefe del Ejército de Pakistán, el mariscal de campo Asim Munir, que no habrá negociaciones con Estados Unidos hasta que se cumplan las exigencias de Teherán. El presidente iraní, Masoud Pezeshkian, afirmó que su país ha estado y sigue estando dispuesto a entablar un diálogo, pero señaló que Estados Unidos debe retirar primero sus amenazas y sanciones. El responsable de seguridad iraní, Mohsen Rezaei, declaró que los materiales nucleares enriquecidos del país son un activo nacional destinado al uso interno. Afirmó que Irán no permitirá que salga del país uranio enriquecido y que no negociará con Estados Unidos hasta que Washington dé los pasos necesarios para generar confianza.
