The US Treasury Is Trapped. A $1 Trillion Interest Collapse Begins NOW.

The U.S. Treasury is approaching a $1 trillion interest bill, and refinancing America’s debt is becoming dramatically more expensive.
For years, Washington borrowed at historically low interest rates, but trillions of dollars of that cheap debt are now maturing and must be replaced with new bonds at much higher rates. That creates a dangerous feedback loop.
Higher rates mean larger interest payments. Larger payments mean more borrowing. More borrowing means even more Treasury bonds must find buyers, and if investors demand better returns, borrowing costs rise again.

This video explores why the Treasury and Federal Reserve are increasingly caught between competing priorities. The Treasury needs cheaper money to refinance the national debt, while the Fed must keep rates high enough to control inflation.
Meanwhile, the consequences spread beyond Washington. Treasury yields influence mortgage rates, business borrowing, government budgets, and financial markets across the economy. And as foreign buyers reduce their exposure to U.S. debt, more pressure could fall on domestic banks, investors, and ultimately American households.
The United States has dealt with enormous debt before, but today’s combination of massive refinancing needs, higher interest rates, persistent deficits, and an aging economy creates a very different challenge.

The $1 trillion interest era is beginning, and the question is who ultimately pays for it.
