Nesta palestra, Alyne Costa apresenta a noção de Antropoceno sob uma perspectiva filosófica. Isto é, evidenciando em que medida essa nova época geológica desorganiza concepções arraigadas sobre “homem”, “natureza”, “terra” e “mundo” e exige novas atitudes tanto no que diz respeito a nosso modo de vida dito ocidental quanto ao de povos que “jamais foram modernos”. Nesse contexto, discutiremos noções importantes no campo das humanidades ambientais, como “Gaia” e “cosmopolítica”, que nos ajudarão a analisar de forma mais complexa as implicações das promessas de soluções tecnológicas do chamado capitalismo verde.ALYNE COSTA
Alyne Costa é professora do Departamento de Filosofia da PUC-Rio, pesquisadora do Terranias: Núcleo Transdisciplinar de Pensamento Ecológico (PUC-Rio/CNPq) e da Associação de Pesquisas e Práticas em Humanidades (APPH). Sua pesquisa se concentra na área de filosofia e questão ambiental, com ênfase no antropoceno e na catástrofe ecológica global. É coordenadora do projeto "A Terra e nós: educação, pesquisa e cidadania no Antropoceno" (PUC-Rio/CNPq) e co-coordenadora da Coleção Desnaturadas, da editora Bazar do Tempo.
