BPKH Minta Revisi UU Demi Layanan Haji Lebih Baik dan Harga Terjangkau
KOMPAS.TV - Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji atau BPKH mendorong penguatan kelembagaan lewat usulan revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 34 Tahun 2014.Revisi undang-undang ini dinilai penting untuk menjawab berbagai tantangan dalam tata kelola dana haji yang terus berkembang.
Sebagai lembaga pengelola dana haji, BPKH memiliki peran strategis, yaitu menjaga dana tetap aman, mengembangkannya secara efisien, serta mengoptimalkan manfaat bagi jemaah.
Melalui tata kelola yang profesional dan transparan, lembaga ini juga berupaya menekan biaya ibadah sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas layanan haji.
Namun dalam praktiknya, Undang-Undang Nomor 34 Tahun 2014 belum memberi ruang gerak yang cukup bagi BPKH. Salah satu kendala utama adalah ketiadaan modal lembaga. Seluruh dana bersumber dari jemaah tanpa cadangan kerugian. Hal ini menyulitkan BPKH untuk berinvestasi secara optimal.
Melalui revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 34 Tahun 2014, BPKH berharap bisa memperkuat fondasi kelembagaan, memperluas ruang investasi, serta mendukung keberlangsungan layanan ibadah haji yang aman, efisien, dan berkelanjutan.
