Presiden Prabowo dan Menkes Budi Gunadi Bahas Kenaikan Kasus Covid-19: Varian Baru Tidak Mematikan

Dalam pertemuan yang berlangsung selama 2,5 jam, Menkes melaporkan adanya kenaikan jumlah kasus Covid-19.
Meski demikian, ia menegaskan bahwa varian yang beredar saat ini bersifat ringan dan tidak bersifat mematikan seperti varian sebelumnya.
“Yang nomor satu, itu mengenai Covid, datanya seperti apa,” kata Budi.
“Saya sampaikan bahwa Covid-19 itu memang terjadi kenaikan, tapi kenaikan ini adalah varian-varian yang relatif tidak mematikan,” katanya.
“Jadi nggak usah terlalu dikhawatirkan supaya masyarakat nggak panik,” ujarnya.
Data Kementerian Kesehatan menunjukkan bahwa selama periode 25–31 Mei 2025, terdapat tujuh kasus terkonfirmasi.
Menyikapi hal ini, Kemenkes mengeluarkan surat edaran kepada rumah sakit dan fasilitas layanan kesehatan untuk memperketat deteksi dan pelaporan kasus.
Indonesia bukan satu-satunya negara yang mengalami kenaikan kasus.
Beberapa negara di Asia, seperti Malaysia, Singapura, Thailand, dan Hongkong juga melaporkan hal serupa.
