After US Strikes, Iran Hits 'Enemy Bases' in Kuwait and Bahrain | FP Video
Tensions in West Asia have escalated sharply after Iran launched missile strikes targeting what it called 'enemy bases' in Kuwait and Bahrain. The attacks came in response to recent US strikes on Iranian coastal radar and surveillance sites in Goruk and Qeshm. According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), Iran fired seven ballistic missiles, six of which were intercepted. Authorities in Kuwait and Bahrain reported explosions, missile interceptions and air raid alerts, while the US said no American personnel were harmed. Washington also rejected Iranian claims that the US Navy's 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain had been damaged. The latest exchange comes amid stalled US-Iran peace negotiations and renewed concerns about a wider regional conflict.
