Mahasiswa KKN dan Tim Medis Terjebak Erupsi Lewotobi, Mobil Tim Kena Batu dan Mahasiswi Digendong
NTT, KOMPAS.TV - Sejumlah mahasiswa KKN dari Universitas Nusa Nipa Maumere terjebak guyuran abu vulkanik akibat erupsi Gunung Lewotobi Laki-laki. Sementara, tim medis Polda NTT yang tengah membagikan masker ke warga di sekitar lereng gunung juga terjebak saat erupsi.Beberapa mahasiswa mempercepat langkah sambil berteriak minta tolong saat Gunung Lewotobi Laki-laki erupsi.
Betapa tidak, erupsi menyebabkan hujan abu vulkanik di Desa Udek Dueng, Kecamatan Talibura, Kabupaten Sikka, Nusa Tenggara Timur, tempat mahasiswa ini melakukan Kuliah Kerja Nyata atau KKN.
Bahkan, salah satu mahasiswi digendong rekannya karena mengalami sesak napas.
Untuk meringankan dampak hujan abu vulkanik, pihak Universitas Nusa Nipa Maumere mendistribusikan air minum bersih dan masker untuk mahasiswa KKN dan warga terdampak.
Rombongan tim medis Polda NTT juga sempat terjebak hujan pasir dan kerikil dari erupsi Gunung Lewotobi Laki-laki pada Senin, 7 Juli 2025.
Saat erupsi, tim medis Polda NTT sedang memberi pelayanan kesehatan ke warga sekitar lereng gunung.
Hantaman material batu dan pasir memecahkan kaca mobil tim Dokkes Polda NTT.
Senin, 7 Juli, Gunung Lewotobi Laki-laki erupsi dengan tinggi kolom abu mencapai 18 kilometer.
Erupsi susulan masih terus terjadi, dan Gunung Lewotobi Laki-laki masih berada pada level empat dengan status awas.
