En Europe, face à l’explosion du nombre de chats, les défenseurs de l’environnement tirent la sonnette d’alarme. Chaque année en Allemagne, les félins domestiques tuent en effet des millions de passereaux. Pour lutter contre ce phénomène, certaines régions ont autorisé la chasse aux chats errants.
Dans le Schleswig-Holstein, ils sont près de 2 500 à avoir été abattus l’année dernière. Une pratique condamnée par les propriétaires de matous disparus.
