Kuyashay Ke Randhe Biryani

The story begins when the protagonist unexpectedly receives a letter from the landlady of his former home. Both he and his family are surprised and deeply moved by the letter; it contains an invitation, with the landlady, Ranu Devi, promising to cook her signature biryani for him if he visits. The next day, the protagonist, Abhra, sets out for Palashpur, the small town where the old rental house is located. Although the town has changed, the house itself remains exactly as it was. Upon arriving near the house, he encounters a stranger dressed as a groom. The man repeatedly tries to stop him from entering, but Abhra pays no heed. Once inside, he gradually realizes the grave mistake he has made; he eventually encounters Ranu Devi and her daughter, Pujarini. He slowly comes to understand that they have transformed into spirits, and the nature of their connection to the groom-clad stranger is finally revealed.
